Sailing video series on YouTube to follow

One of the great things about the internet is how easy it is to share our lives and experiences with others, whether through blog form like this, social media, or videos on YouTube (or Vimeo, or others). I’ve been watching a lot of these over the past few months and have even become a patron on Patreon for several as well. I’ll list the best ones I’ve found here for you to check out and enjoy.

s/v Delos Crew

Captain Brian Troutman has been one of my main inspirations for my ideas of how I’ll pursue my dreams (including a lot of the practical boring aspects like finances). He and his crew have been making videos of their travels for several years now, though they’ve been most active in the past two years and are really showing some production value. The s/v Delos is a 53′ ketch, fully equipped for world cruising.

Sailing La Vagabonde

Elayna and Riley are an Australian couple who’ve sailed s/v La Vagabonde from the Mediterranean to the Caribbean recently and plan on continuing around the world. Great production values and lots of personal touches from both of them. s/v La Vagabonde is a 43′ sloop.

Sailing Uma

A young couple straight out of college, Kika & Dan are working on restoring s/v Uma, a 36′ sloop, and have a dream of sailing around the world and using their talents as architects to help people.

White Spot Pirates / Untie the Lines

Nike and her sailboat, s/v Karl, have been through a lot of restoration in Panama, and the majority of her first forty videos are of all the work she has to do to restore Karl to a safe, working state. Nike does a lot of her sailing solo! Karl is a Reinke Super 10, a 37′ sloop.

Three Sheets to the Wind

Shaun and Julia, a Canadian couple, are starting their sailing journey on s/v I’m Easy, a 1976 Bayfield 25′ sloop, and will be traveling from Parry Sound, Ontario, through the Great Lakes, and down into the Caribbean.
