From the factory with a standard fin keel, in-mast furling, a furling genoa, and the two-cabin pullman version of the interior. Both of the new primary sails are made from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dimension-polyant.com\/product\/hydra-net\/\">Hydra Net<\/a> by <a href=\"https:\/\/iversonsdesign.com\/\">Ballard Sails<\/a>. The cockpit is kept comfortable and sheltered via a full enclosure built by <a href=\"https:\/\/iversonsdesign.com\/\">Iverson&#8217;s Designs<\/a> for which we&#8217;ve got both windowed panels as well as sun shade\/bug screen panels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With over 1200W of hard solar panels on custom mounts made by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ballardmarinefabricators.com\/\">Ballard Marine Fabricators<\/a> and a 12.6kWh house battery bank, capable of staying weeks or more off-grid using as little fuel as possible. All this power keeps many sensors and gadgets running: Kestrel is its own micro weather station, can make fresh water with a <a href=\"https:\/\/schenkerwatermakers.com\/products\/zen\/\">Schenker Zen50<\/a> watermaker, and can keep tabs on all this data using <a href=\"https:\/\/signalk.org\/\">SignalK<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To keep comfortable, I&#8217;ve got a <a href=\"https:\/\/purple.com\/mattresses\/plus\">Purple Plus<\/a> mattress that was customized to fit the pullman berth by <a href=\"https:\/\/artisansmattress.com\/\">Artisans Mattress<\/a>, and a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bougerv.com\/products\/2899btu-portable-air-conditioner\">BougeRV portable air conditioner<\/a> mounted on a shelf above the bed, efficient enough that in the summer I can run it all day and night off-grid to keep the cabin we sleep in cool with the solar panels easily keeping pace.
